Yo Gotti, whose real name is Mario Mims, paid a visit to Memphis club Level II last month and engaged in an argument with rapper OG Boo Dirty. Shots subsequently rang out in the venue, injuring six people and leaving both rappers unharmed. Following the shooting, police issued 11 warrants including one for Yo Gotti, who dodged the court order by claiming that he was "out of town." If convicted, he faces up to six years in prison.
"He just wanted his fans and the public to know that ... he doesn't condone that type of behavior, and that again, he plans to deal with the charges that have been filed against him," said his lawyer Adam Horne. "Once he comes back and deals with the allegations, I think his name will be cleared."
