The 'Recovery' hitmaker is expected to join Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber as the only artists to achieve one billion views on YouTube.
According to the social media statistics service Famecount, Eminem will record his one-billionth YouTube sometime today. As of 9 AM this morning, Monday, Feb. 21, his YouTube channel had received more than 999 million views. Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber each reached this mark in a close race at the end of 2010, while the fourth most popular star on YouTube -- Rihanna -- is set to reach this plateau in the next few weeks. Justin Bieber remains the world's top YouTube star with more than 1.3 billion views.
While Em is currently third among the social media elite, he is second on Facebook to Lady Gaga, and is actually poised to take over the top spot among celebrities. Gaga, however, easily sits atop Twitter with more than eight million followers.
