Producer Robert 'Shea' Taylor revealed that he has been working with Beyonce on her fourth studio album over the past several months, and says a new single is almost ready to go.
Taylor said that Beyonce's new album -- a follow up to her 2008 release 'I Am ... Sasha Fierce' -- is more pop but still R&B and compared it to Michael Jackson in his "prime." She also reportedly has a track featuring Kanye West that Taylor calls "Amazing." Beyonce also said that she was heavily influenced by Nigerian musician and humanitarian Fela Kuti for the new album.
In an homage to Fela Kuti, Beyonce recently stirred up some controversy when she wore black face makeup for photo shoot honoring the 10th anniversary issue of french magazine L'Officiel.
Details on the new Beyonce album are still scarce, but she's already pulled in some heavy hitting producers including Taylor, Diplo, Sean Garrett (Usher) and Christopher "Tricky" Stewart ('Single Ladies'), as well as collaborations with Ne-Yo and electro-pop duo Sleigh Bells.
