The album is one of many Hendrix tributes and previously unreleased work, all expected to drop this year, via Sony Recordings. Other big names appearances on 'Power of Soul' include Prince, Eric Clapton, Lenny Kravitz, Santana, Musiq Soulchild and Chaka Khan.
Immortalized as one of music's most prolific guitarists, Hendrix died in London from an apparent overdose of sleeping pills in 1980. Since his death the rocker has received several posthumous accolades including being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992, the UK Hall of Fame in 2005 and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1994.
