Mr. West will be joined by label mates Kid Cudi, Pusha T, Common, John Legend, CyHi Da Prince, Big Sean and Mos Def at the VEVO Power station in Austin, on Saturday (March 19) for a special set, which is scheduled to kick off around 11:59PM. 'Ye will headline the event--with some help from his musical pals--as a part of the VEVO Presents: G.O.O.D. Music showcase at SXSW.
Following rumors that he might appear at the annual festival, the ever-theatrical rapper and producer confirmed the news via a viral video message, which featured comedian Aziz Ansari and actor Zach Galifianakis. However, this isn't Kanye's first time performing at SXSW. In 2009, he took the stage with Big Sean, Mr. Hudson and Consequence. VEVO's G.O.O.D. Music showcase at SXSW will be filmed and made available on-demand, on April 22.
