Sporting a beat with emotive strings and subtle horns, the track begins with Prodigy announcing the duo's triumphant return. "Well, well, damn it to hell, fuck is Mobb Deep?/ Where y'all been at scraps? Recharging the batteries/ Had to regroup, reboot the system, press reset/ Fresh start right from where we started at," he raps.
The Queens rapper continues by bigging up the fans and returning the love. "See the audience is my love and I won't be a liar/ If I ain't say I love, lost a little bit of fire/ But here, take my hand, and we gon' keep it blazin' hot/ They hatin' our relationship, it never stops," he spits, leading into the chorus. "Through the thick and the thin, strong and the long/ We love y'all, 'cause y'all love us/ We love ya'll more."
Prodigy, whose real name is Albert Johnson, was released from prison last week after completing a three-year sentence for a guilty plea to weapons charges. The bid stemmed from an arrest after he and Alchemist were pulled over for making an illegal U-turn, upon which police discovered a gun in his glove compartment.
