The 'Blow Ya Mind' singer says she was inspired by Cyndi Lauper's 1984 video for 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,' and mentions the aforementioned divas and others in her song and would love to make the video a star-studded event. "When I saw Cyndi Lauper's videos as a kid I wanted to jump into the TV and run down the street with her and shout, 'girls just wanna have fun,'" said Minaj. "In my head I've always wanted to be that crazy person. She's one of the people who inspired me."
Minaj also mentioned M.I.A., Beyonce, Grace Jones, actresses Monique, Angelina Jolie and Kristin Cavallari and fashion designer Donatella Versace in the song, but there's no word on whether any of these artists are also being considered for a cameo. "There's every chance the big names will oblige," said source for Britain's the SUN. "Everyone loves Nicki. It's already causing a stir in various camps."
Perhaps Minaj will get her wish for her very own 'Girls' shoot. She recently asked fans who they'd like to see running with Minaj in her video via Twitter: "two questions: How many divas did I name in 'Girls Fall Like Dominoes' and who should make a cameo in the video?"
