During an interview with AllHipHop.com, Jones became noticeably agitated with an interviewer's inquiries into why he decided against working with model-turned-aspiring rapper Somaya Reece. He abruptly stopped the line of questioning. "You know how long I been doing interviews? You pushin' it," he said. "You want to get a good interview, or you want to end it right now?"
Switching up his mood just slightly, warning the interviewer to ask "cool questions," Jones went on to discuss why he chose to be part of the VH1 show, which finds the Harlem native and longtime girlfriend, Chrissy Lampkin, showing both the business and personal side of their relationship.
According to the 'Perfect Day' rhymer, the network has been trying to get him on a reality series for years. "VH1 been at my house every year shooting a pilot, I really wasn't feeling the way the pilot was shot, it was too much about me," Jones revealed. His decision to get on board with 'Love & Hip-Hop' was based around supporting Lumpkin, who is one of the main cast members on the show.
Despite his negative mood, Jones also plugged his latest album 'Capo,' which dropped April 5. 'Love & Hip-Hop' airs Monday nights on VH1.
