The LP, originally slated for a May 16 release, has been pushed back to June, with no other details given on when Weezy will unleash this latest effort. Additionally, a producer close to the eccentric rapper claims that the rumored tracklist that hit the Internet last week isn't entirely correct, as none of the track names were correct.
Back in March, Wayne updated the project by announcing that he was finished recording. "'Tha Carter IV' is done," he said of the album, which is rumored to feature production from T-Minus, Bangladesh and Kanye West. "All they need to do is tell Tez [manager Cortez Bryant] to stop sitting on it. Tez, stop sitting on 'Tha Carter IV' and put the album out."
Wayne is currently traveling the country on his I Am Still Music tour with Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and Travis Barker. The North American trek is scheduled to wrap up on May 1 at East Rutherford, N.J.'s Bamboozle Festival.
