The 'Hate It or Love It' beatmakers -- Marcello "Cool" Valenzano and Andre "Dre" Lyon -- report that they have signed a 50/50 joint venture with Jimmy Iovine's label for the promotion, marketing and distribution of debut albums from their artists Don Trip and K-Rose.
"We look to follow in the footsteps of other record companies we've had the privilege to work with like Aftermath and Cash Money," Cool & Dre explained. "Our objective is to shine the biggest spotlight on our artists utilizing the many relationships we have built throughout our career. Get ready!"
Haling from Memphis, Tenn., Don Trip, 25, has released a string of successful mixtapes and a popular video for his heartfelt song, 'Letter to My Son,' which has almost a million views on YouTube. Meanwhile, 18-year-old singer-songwriter K-Rose is currently recording her genre-bending debut, and co-starring in the ABC Family film 'Teen Spirit,' scheduled for a summer release.
Cool & Dre recently produced Game's Lil Wayne-featured single 'Red Nation,' for which an "apocalyptic" music video has been shot, and are hard at work on Rick Ross' new album. The beatmaking duo also contributed a song to Wayne's highly anticipated 'Tha Carter IV.'
