Keyshia Cole's Mother Arrested on Drug Charges

After a stint on VH1 'Celebrity Rehab,' Keyshia Cole's mother has found herself back behind bars on drug related charges. Frankie Lons was busted for drug possession charges on Thursday (April 28).

According to TMZ, Lons was pulled over on a routine traffic violation, when it was discovered that she had an open warrant out for her arrest, stemming from an earlier probation violation. A further search uncovered "drug-related material" located on Lons' person. She was taken to a nearby jail and booked on misdemeanor drug-possession and probation violation charges.

This isn't the first time that the mother of seven has been in trouble with the law. Earlier this month, Lons was locked up on a parole violation charge for failing a drug test. "You know I really pray she gets it together for herself," Cole tweeted of the news. "She has to want change for herself."

Cole and her mother have had a strained relationship over the years, which they attempted to rectify on the singer's now defunct reality show 'The Way It Is.' The 29-year-old was adopted as a child, and began financially supporting her mother in adulthood. Prior to giving birth to her son, Cole released a public statement explaining her estrangement from her mother and other family members, but the two have since reconciled.

Lons appeared on the most recent season of 'Celebrity Rehab' where she sought treatment for drug and alcohol addiction.

You know really people you need to grow up. These famous people don't give a rip about how you feel about them. Ya'll get in such an uproar over nothing that really matters. Worry about your own life and how your family is or does. Make love not war.

This truly saddens me. I am not familiar with Keisha Cole's music. I only know Frankie from Celebrity Rehab. I had great hope for her and I am sorry that she has fallen back into her habits. Good Luck, Frankie.

i don't understand why keisha waist her time with her mother, she does not wan't help. u can c that frm when she was on dr drew show.having it out with everyone acting ghetto, and street. but if that was my mother i would never help her u can't help a drug head who does not wan't to be help and still want's to get high & thinks she is the shittttttttttttt and living off her daughters name.... frankie u aint keisha stop trying to be her.

It very sad that ppl are on here saying that Obama ppl never change but do they know Obama is not all one color he is mix with white&black so all the comment of focusing to black ppl as only the one being on that issue bring me to SMH cause drugs is in all race of color and same problem so stupid of the negative ppl and negative comment but hey that just low self esteem

I think it is a shame that know one has mentioned the fact that no matter what, drug addiction runs in every race. There is not one person who can say they don't have someone from their race that hasn't been busted or addicted to drugs.

since when do white people not get busted for drugs? Whoever wrote that remark must be getting high on meth as we speak. Oh wait, I forgot, white people don't do drugs, they just burn crosses, beat up anyone who is different, and drown their babies!
