Beyonce's patriotic cover premiered on CNN's 'Piers Morgan Tonight' last night (May 5). The song is available on iTunes with proceeds going towards the New York Police & Fire Widows' & Children's Benefit Fund, established to aid families who lost their loved ones following the 9/11 terrorist attacks on America.
"We were all affected by the tragedies of 9/11 and continue to keep the families who lost loved ones close to our hearts," Beyonce said in a statement about the track.
The release of Beyonce's 'God Bless the U.S.A.' comes after President Obama's visit to ground zero yesterday, on the heels of announcing the death of Osama bin Laden -- the evil mastermind behind the attacks on the World Trade Center towers and Pentagon in 2001 -- on Sunday (May 2).
