In a series of Twitter posts earlier this week, the Philly native lashed out at Swizz Beatz for not answering his calls. "@THEREALSWIZZZ don't even answer my calls anymore," he wrote. "We ain't speak in over a year: i thought we was fam, but times change, Smh That why I changed.. Ain't no love loss.. It is what it is."
Cassidy also revealed that Twitter has become his only method of reaching out to Swizzy. "The only reason I'm on twitter is cause that's the only way I can reach you," he tweeted.
Swizz is responsible for Cassidy's biggest hits, namely 'I'm a Hustla,' 'My Drink N My 2 Step' and 'Hotel,' all of which he produced. The two have not worked together in years, and Cassidy has since run into trouble with the law.
In 2005, the rapper, born Barry Adrian Reese, was arrested on a first-degree murder charge for the shooting death of Desmond Hawkins. The charge was later downgraded to involuntary manslaughter and he was given a seven month credit for time served on his 11 to 23 month sentence.
Earlier this month, Cassidy was also picked up on what was originally believed to be another murder charge. However, New Jersey police later revealed that the arrest stemmed from probation violation. He has since been released from prison.
