According to the Hollywood Reporter, if RZA joins the Paramount-produced film's cast, he will be playing a martial arts expert named the Blind Master, who, in the past, trained the characters Snake Eyes and Jinx. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Channing Tatum -- the only returning star from the original film -- have already been cast in the Jon M. Chu-directed movie.
Besides prepping to help save the world from Cobra, the RZA, born Robert Fitzgerald Diggs, is playing the title character in his upcoming directorial debut, 'The Man With the Iron First,' which also stars Academy Award winner Russell Crowe. The 'Bobby Digital' rapper's previous acting credits include 'American Gangster,' 'Repo Men' and 'Funny People,' amongst others.
On the small screen, the Abbott has also joined the cast of the upcoming season of Showtime's 'Californication.' The RZA is also executive producing a new Wu-Tang Clan compilation album titled 'Legendary Weapons,' due in stores July 26.
