Rick Ross Sued for $15,000 in Death of Dog

Rick Ross raps of "a chopper in the car" in Lil Wayne's 'John,' but it seems like he's let his dogs do the dirty work as of late.

The Miami rhymer has been named in a lawsuit, according to TMZ, after three of his pitbulls escaped from his Atlanta mansion in April, killing a 3-year-old Yorkshire Terrier.

Banks, the pup who met his untimely death, was named in the suit as the victim of a brutal attack by the 'God Forgives, I Don't' creator's canines. The injured dog's owner, referred to as Maria in the court documents, claims that Ross, named as William L. Roberts II in the suit, allowed his three pets to enter her property and ferociously attack her Yorkie.

In the documents obtained by TMZ, the Yorkshire Terrier received "three large bite wounds on his back" and a "very large bite wound" around his neck.

Banks' owner moved forward with a lawsuit despite Rick Ross being previously cited for the incident. She is asking for $15,000 in damages and court costs.

Why I agree Pits, Rotties, Dobermans,etc are not for everybody.I also agree about responsibility for any animal. Choose your dog very carefully to match your life style. Spay and netuer to keep down over population. There is no excuse for any owner to be lacking of knowledge about any breed of animal they have.

Educate yourself and then come back with a different starement. Read about the breed and why some people train them to attack....Greed for money, dog fighting, drugs. I am against abuse toward animals or humans. These idiots that does this, just get a slap on the wrist and pay a fine and continue to do the same thing again. There are animal shelters like Best Friends, Aspca and other network that have programs that work for these animals. Read about it and learn. Support them.

It is the owner's fault. Animals (for the most part - there are some exceptions here and there) become what we teach them. If we raise a pit bull or a rottie or whatever to be aggressive then guess what?? They'll most likely be aggressive!! The sad part is the pits were doing what they were trained to do...."attack." The owner should have to pay to teach responsibility and a lesson. To those of us who love animals, our pets are not just pets. They are family members....so to us, a "dog is not just a dog." I respect that others feel differently...but in this case I feel sure the lady that lost her yorkie is devastated...as I would be.
The owner needs to pay the fine....as far as the dogs being euthanized....unfortunately the dogs pay the price. That's what infuriates me the most. The dogs pay the price for your (in general) stupidity. The owner must take responsibility and prevent this from happening again now that he knows what the dogs are capable of. We don't want to see another animal attacked or heaven forbid, a toddler attacked or even killed. So, my vote is yes, very sadly, the dogs should be euthanized because they have been raised to be aggressive and attack. The owner should be banned from owning any large breed dog.

I believe rick ross should beat the case, afterall , it just a dog. He might get a small fine but that should be it.

Just a dog? Perhaps to you. Some of us love our dogs more than you could imagine. However, the law is the law, and animals don't matter much to the law. Please if you feel a dog is just a dog don't get any.

Dogs are not born mean. Dogs become what we humans teach them. I have a full blooded Rottie and she loves everyone. Plays with all ages from two years old and up. Now on the other thing if a dog thought they were being threaten they could they could try to protect themself in the way of bitting. I tell you this much if I were to see anyone threaten my baby (rottie) they would be asked to leave and never return

That is so true Jackie. Just like children in many ways....they become what we teach them. Now, they pay the price for being loyal to their owner's request and doing what they're used to doing...what they KNOW to do... and obeying what they're taught. I'm not really referring to this situation but to all people who use dogs to fight and train them to harm....Pits and Rotties and others have now been stamped with a bad name because of irresponsible, greedy, callus, inhumane humans. Sickening. This is one subject that gets my blood boiling. Cannot tolerate child or animal abuse of any shape, form or fashion.

Because in most states you only get what you paid for the dog. He will get fined for being irresponsible, however.
