Popping up on songs with the likes of Waka Flocka ('No Hands'), Soulja Boy ('All The Way Turnt Up') and Big Sean ('Marvin Gaye & Chardonnay'), and dropping his debut album, 'Ready Set Go,' these days the young MC is focused on his own success. "My [new] album drops in November [and a] new mixtape titled 'Dash Effect,'" he tells the BoomBox.
While his features on different singles have resonated with fans, for his solo run Dash hopes to take his music to the next level. "It's two steps above what I did last time, my whole thing is to outdo myself every time. The most important thing is to be positive and to know that different sells. Different is what's in right now."
As for possibilities of transitioning from music to other projects, Dash doesn't rule out a shot at reality TV, and hopes to appear on friend Waka Flocka's pending reality show. "He deserves it, he needs it," Dash said of the show, which is rumored to air on BET. "I might slide in there, you might see me slide in and slide out."
'Dash Effect' is set to be released this month.
