Nicki Minaj Is 'More Than a Rapper' in E! Special -- Watch

Nicki Minaj is an animated character, but what's behind the colorful wigs and bold raps has been somewhat of a mystery, which has now unfolded in a one-hour E! special.

The 'Pink Friday' creator's early beginnings are documented in the television special, from her former dreams of being a nurse to witnessing snow as a child as she stepped foot in New York City straight from Trinidad years ago.

Young Money's femme fatale shares a wealth of stories, including one of her fifth grade teacher, who helped ignite the acting spark inside her. Her mother, Carol and father, Robert also shed some light on how the 'Super Bass' rhymer came up, like being a bad girl stealing cars as well as watching her family face hard times. Lil Wayne even supports the doc by adding that Nicki is "more than just a rapper."
