Diddy Sued Over 2010 Shooting at Atlanta Restaurant

Music executive and aspiring rapper Tony Austin aka "Mr. Make it Happen" has filed suit against hip-hop mogul Diddy over a 2010 shooting that occurred outside of his Atlanta, Ga. restaurant Justin's.

Though neither were critically injured in the incident, Austin was rushed to the hospital, along with an associate, after having been shot in the parking lot outside of Diddy's restaurant in the Buckhead district of Atlanta, in November 2010.

Austin, who is respected industry vet Kevin Liles' cousin, and has served as president of Russell Simmons Music Group and A&R for Def Jam, filed suit in the U.S. District Court of Northern Georgia on Friday (July 15), accusing Diddy of failing to maintain a safe environment for his restaurant's customers. Austin, who is now an aspiring MC, claims that the restaurant's management was aware of "dangerous and hazardous conditions" around the location, yet failed to provide adequate security for their guests.

Diddy and his legal team have yet to respond to media inquiries regarding the shooting.

Tony Austin released a 'Gangsta Grillz' mixtape with DJ Drama in 2010, and has worked with Atlanta rappers Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka Flame.

To all, this shooting happened outside of his resturant - He wasn't even there!!! How are you going to sue someone to try to get money when they were no apart of it. Trying to sue to earn a quick buck is stupid and he should know this. He needs to be trying to sue the person who shot at him. He knows who did it.

You'd think Puffy would learn his lesson about carrying guns after his protege Biggie got shot to death. Then again, he doesn't strike me as the brightest crayon in the box. Isn't this at least the 3rd shooting incident that he's been involved with in his career? So sad that the rap community acts like a bunch of children.

Diddy was nto carrying a gun. He was not even there. It is a money chasing lawsuit. Read the article before making false assumtions...

I don't listen to a lot of rap, but I do have several Too $hort, Snoop, and Tupac cd's and I love the music, especially Too $hort. I'd probably like some of the newer stuff but I'm just not exposed to it and more importantly, I probably couldn't keep a straight face asking the clerk for the "Mr Make it Happen" cd. Too $hort and Tupac are cool names but when some of these guys grow up they are gonna look back and cringe at some of the goofy names they given themselves. Don't get me wrong, we white people are just the same. We had our moments of embarrassment with guys running around with make up and girls hair in the 80's. Plus all the goofy names...."White Snake", "Great White", and some other "White Animal" so I'm not trying to make this a race thing, but I do want to point out how silly it is. I like some of Diddy's music as well, but I hate that name. Reminds of Diddy Kong off of Donkey Kong. Are they going to use "Diddy" and "Mr Make it Happen" in court........oh man, I'd love to hear some judge...."Mr Make it Happen, would you please come to the witness stand".....LOL, that's good stuff.
