Chris Brown Lands Role in Steve Harvey Film

Chris Brown has been tapped to appear in a new romantic comedy.

The film, 'Think Like a Man,' is based on comedian-TV personality Steve Harvey's bestselling 2009 self-help book, 'Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man,' and follows "four interconnected and diverse friends [who] have their love lives shaken up after the women they are pursuing buy Steve Harvey's book and start taking his advice to heart."

Though his role is not yet known, the volatile young actor joins a star-studded female ensemble, including Meagan Good, Taraji P. Henson, Gabrielle Union and La La Vasquez, along with seasoned actors Michael Ealy and Jerry Ferrara.

'Think Like a Man' has already begun production in Los Angeles, Calif., and is scheduled for an April 6, 2012 release. The film will be helmed by 'Fantastic Four' director Tim Story and co-executive produced by Harvey.

"Hey @chrisbrown ! Congrats on landing a role in #actlikealady the movie! I'm proud of you man!" Harvey tweeted, in celebration of the news. "I love @chrisbrown because he deserves a 2nd chance as do we all."

Breezy previously appeared in 'Stomp the Yard,' 'Takers' and 'Blood Rogues.'

Hey Huge Balls!!

...Making a mistake is "forgetting to set the alarm clock"....NOT beating your girlfriend. This piece of garbage doesnt deserve ANYTHING he's got.

Ok remind me again what chance is he on? Seventeenth or was it the twentieth? I'm all for giving someone a second chance but this is going a little too far. The man is violent towards women , homophobic and clearly had anger issues. Besides that there are just some things I do not think society should forgive. Beating your girlfriend is one of them. Domestic violence is never EVER ok. I think that what he needs right now is to take a break and seek help. Getting a movie role shows that his actions so far are ok and that he will be rewarded for them. I do not personally care for his music so i cannot say if he is talented or not. All I know is he is a fellow human being so he deserves my sympathy for his issues. Issues that clearly need to be taken care of. He needs help. Lets hope that he gets it before someone else is hurt.

Why do you media people keep trying to write negative headliners on this man......do this make you feel BIG...are you trying to cause TROUBLE yourself?....Every Black entertainer you write about, ALWAYS have a negative overtone to it....STOP the BS....and write more positive headliners for Blacks in the news.....and find something positive to write about.....

No surprise, not his first movie. Aside from his personal troubles, he's very talented.
