Amy Winehouse's Home Reportedly Robbed

AP

Well, this is just sickening. According to The Sun (via NME), Amy Winehouse's personal belongings have been stolen from her residence in the Camden borough of London.

"This is such a sickening shock to the family," a source told the paper. Copies of Winehouse's unreleased tracks, lyric books and letters were reportedly lifted from the property by a former acquaintance of the late singer, who passed away July 23. Also missing are one of the 'Back to Black' creator's beloved guitars and lyrics intended for her third album.

"That someone would stoop so low," continued the source. "They can't get their heads around it. [Winehouse's father] Mitch is livid. The family, record label and management are months away from deciding what to do with any unreleased music. For that to be taken out of their hands is horrible.

"Mitch is willing to give whoever has stolen the items a chance to do the right thing and put them back so it doesn't have to get messy."

This is just one more mystery to add to the Winehouse saga after her initial autopsy proved "inconclusive" and differing accounts of her substance abuse have emerged.

What a shame, what a shame. Its just amazing the evil things people will do for money, I hope the person gets caught, this was a horrible thing to do and especially not given the family respect after all Amy just passed away, and to go and take the most precious things out of the parents life.....I think Its actually horrible. Amy rest in peace, let her rest. Whoever took her personal things, have a heart and return those items to her parents......
