Some call his style choices avant-garde, others call them a tour de force. Whatever word Michael Jackson's fans used to define him during his celebrated career, it was never boring.

Mon., Aug. 29 marks what would have been the King of Pop's 53rd birthday. To commemorate the gift he bestowed upon us, serving up soulfully powerful vocals, poignant lyrics and stellar dance moves, The BoomBox takes a look at his collection of fashions over the years, all in honor of his born day.

From his work as a burgeoning force with the Jackson 5 to his acclaim as a solo act, the 'Thriller' creator never once faltered in dressing for any occasion. His tour gear -- outer bodysuits and elbow pads included -- always proved to be ahead of the curve and his red carpet appearances -- full of glitter and gold -- were a topic of conversation for those who didn't even consider themselves to be immersed in the fashion spectrum.

Whether he considered himself to be an icon of epic wardrobe proportions or not before his untimely death on June 25, 2009, MJ was a bad style connoisseur, in a good way, of course.

Simply, you all do not get it. Under our system, you are innocent until proven guilty. Michael Jackson was never found guilty of any charges. Like it or not, he doesn't have a creminal record. If you have proof, bring it, otherwise do not hate hate, appreciate!

If this was anyone else they would be in jail , or registered sex offender. Why do they keep trying to keep him in the news. He was a sicko person, not to say a heavy drug user. I certainly wouldn't want my child to model after him.. Yes his music was good but thats all that was good bout him.

Let's face it,his music sucked.People are always bringing up how he wrote his own songs,like that was some great feat,a 10 year could write better songs than he did.

I agree with you Jeremiah, obviously people are just believing the first thing they hear. If my child came up to me and told me that she was molested by him I wouldn't rest until he was brought to justice. and Teresa..obviously you don't realize how many of his songs and videos have set record sales and award wins. I don't see a 10 year old doing that.

He came and he conquered, he affected so many with what he knows how to do best... he was unique kind of person wherever he goes there is always people to see and feel him..... really he bring joy to many and so many a time, mere looking at him when he is doing his thing bring tears of gladness to everyone around...... Micheal, how i wish you are still here with us however, i think were you are right now is the best place............ i love you my great ever friend and brother.

To me a haters is a person without a life of their own, so they go on the net 2 find smthing. 2day it's Micheal Jackson (I LOVE U). Tomorrow it's going 2 b someone else, their sad nasty ppl without a soul. So the only thing we can do is pray 4 them, n wish them well. Once again I LOVE U MICHEAL n i miss u a fan 4ever
