Meek Mill Returns to the Hood With 'I'ma Boss' Video -- Watch

FilmMagic

Several months after the release of his Maybach Music Group single 'I'ma Boss,' Philly rapper Meek Mill returns to the hood with a Benny Boom-helmed visual for the song, which features a verse by MMG "Bawse" Rick Ross, who also goes head-to-head with Meek on the pronunciation of the word "Boss" on the hook.

Appearing shirtless in the simple, but effective video, which mostly takes place in the hood, Meek introduces fans to his world, including scattered Philly landmarks, like Geno's Steaks, and guest spots by Ross, Wale, DJ Khaled, Ace Hood and several members of Meek's crew.

"Look I be riding through my old hood, but I'm in my new whip," Meek raps from the front seat of his Ferrari, as he literally rides through the hood. "Same old attitude, but I'm on that new s---/ They say they gon' rob me, but they never do s---."

Ross contributes a somewhat subdued appearance in the clip, which also features some glimmering neon club shots and tricked out ATVs.

"Before this, I ain't have nothing I was actually chasing. I was just in the street living the life," Meek told MTV, reflecting on his rise to fame. "Now, Ross be calling me 'Meek Millionaire,' actually; he always be saying it on new songs we be doing ... I ain't there yet; I should be real soon: I'm gonna get my millionaire's club membership real soon."

Meek recently told Vibe that he's holding the 'I'ma Boss' remix until T.I., who was released from prison yesterday, can record a verse, to celebrate his homecoming.

"If I hold the 'I'ma Boss' remix long enough I might throw Tip on that. have him get out to the hottest song of the year," Meek said. "He ain't have no problem looking out for me and I don't have no problem doing it for him."

Meek Mill is currently hard at work on his solo debut. Check out the 'I'ma Boss' video below.
