We already knew Rihanna was on the fast track to drop as many albums as she could in the shortest time possible -- the release of her upcoming 'Talk That Talk' will mark the singer's sixth album release since her 2005 debut. But this new record, that officially dethrones her inspiration and Vita Coco boss, Madonna, proves RiRi isn't messing around!
'We Found Love' marks Rihanna's 20th top 10 hit since she first landed on the chart back on June 11, 2005, for her debut single 'Pon De Replay.' RiRi has racked up 20 top 10s in the span of just six years and four months, marching right past Madonna for the quickest collection of top 10s among solo artists.
Madge's July 1990 hit 'Hanky Panky' marked her 20th top 10, six years and nine months after her first appearance on the chart with 'Holiday.' This means Rihanna has topped the pop icon by five months.
Ri may be on top, but she still looks up to her elders. "I think that Madonna was a great inspiration for me, especially on my earlier work," Rihanna recently revealed.
Among all musical acts, Rihanna's run to 20 top 10s is the second-fastest, right behind the Beatles, who continue to beat out the competition after taking just two years and seven months to achieve the awesome milestone.
