Ne-Yo Is a Father of Two, Welcomes New Baby

After welcoming daughter Madilyn Grace into the world less than a year ago, in November 2010, Ne-Yo is embracing a second bundle of joy alongside the child's mother, Monyetta Shaw.

People magazine reports the 31-year-old R&B sensation is the proud father of a new baby. The infant was born on Oct. 10.

"[Fatherhood] has been a ride, but I'm loving every minute of it," Ne-Yo shared with People last month.

Details surrounding the 'Libra Scale' creator's newborn are scarce, with the child's name being withheld.

On the music front, Ne-Yo released the title of his fifth studio album recently. 'The Cracks in Mr. Perfect' is his new LP, which will give insight into the man behind the artist.

"The album is based around showing people that, though I am a 'celebrity' or 'artist,' or whatever the case may be, I'm a human being first," he shared. "You know, I feel like as an artist sometimes, you're kinda expected to be this perfect being for your fans."

The forthcoming effort is scheduled for a 2012 release.

I don't understand why we would prefer to buy our hair, get our nails done and let ourselves be spread open, by so little ambition other than to have enough money in case it doesn't work out by producing child support at least in case he fails to reach a certain level. This belief I continue to see across the higher economic line, ballers, rappers, movie stars, etc. etc. The goal of a man, our men is to make it if righteous, seems like some of our Sisters have a much more attainable goal, produce, produce, produce, get nails done, spend HIS money. Wonder what stereotype our Sisters have been infected with since there has always been a time when we contribute more than our womb to create and maintain our homes. There was a time we were forced to breed only to have our daughters and sons sold while we stood watching them go and cry and we cried and we grew numb in time, empty.

The term "Irish twins" originated from the old tendency of Irish-Catholic families to produce many children, due to the fact that they did not use birth control. Hence, some siblings occasionally were born within a year of each other. I am 50% Irish, and thankfully I am an only child! I am also child-free, thanks to birth control.

Siblings born within a year of each other are called "Irish twins" (though I don't know why). I guess this means these kids are the so-called "Black Irish"? (Just kidding!)

Here we go again, nothing against life, it is a miracle, but I do find fault with the fact that he has not even on any level raised the first. The baby is still like a new doll. Folks usually wait till the first one is at least two years old. What I do not understand is why is there this need to either produce a child B4 marriage or right away after marriage. I don't understand why a baby carriage is the must have item for couples. At 31 years old is there still the illness of producing a seed? At her age does she not have an education? Does she not have a separate career? Does she not have her own something other than a womb? I am not proud of this thought but I fail to understand this peculiar motivation we have as women to produce children before we even fully know whether we love the man, can see ourselves growing old, can deal with his personal hygiene, can tolerate his bodily functions that can clear the air or air and ours the same to him. There was a time we were forced to breed only to have our daughters and sons sold while we stood watching them go and cry and we cried and we grew numb in time, empty. Now, seems like our Sisters feel that if they are empty so will their balance on the credit card so better make someone to have something. Deep and I don't mean the birth canal. Peace and blessings

Why do you feel the need to interject yourself in what does not concern you?
If you have a reason for not wanting a baby till you are worn and done, that's your cup of tea. But for God's sake those that are blessed with something special to enjoy their blessings.

It's not for you to judge. After all, he can afford it.

When in all of that verbiage did you read I said anyting about the health, lack of a baby being a blessing, first sentence MIRACLE. Dictionary.com. Thank you, I was beginning to doubt really early here. Your Avatar, living, surviving & getting older w/time accounts for it all. Missing my CITY! At least there you did not have to deal with the inability of having to ask folks, using words spoken in movie by Chris Rock...
