Soulja Boy Arrested for Weed Possession, Guns in Car

Soulja Boy is in hot water with law enforcement officials after being pulled over in a vehicle, which was initially stopped for a traffic violation, and arrested for marijuana possession early Tuesday morning (Oct. 18).

TMZ reports that the 'Turn My Swag On' rhymer, born DeAndre Cortez Way, was a passenger in a car -- with four other men -- that was stopped at 3:15AM by Temple police officers in Temple, Ga. During the traffic stop, cops reportedly found an excess amount of weed, cash and guns. No information is available yet as to whether or not the men in the car had proper licenses to carry the firearms.

The 21-year-old rap star was taken into police custody, along with the four men riding in the car. He is currently being held in the Carrol County Jail.

A source tells the tabloid site that the money and drugs found in the ride amounts to $70,000.
