Michael Jackson's 'Immortal Megamix' -- Song Premiere

Just as they did with the Beatles, the high-flying geniuses at Cirque du Soleil have given us a new way to experience the music of Michael Jackson. Earlier this month, the troupe hit the road with 'Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour,' a show based on the King of Pop's music, and now we have the 'Immortal Megamix,' a track from the accompanying soundtrack.

Due out Nov. 21, 'Immortal' finds musical director Kevin Atunes drawing from more than 40 of Jackson's indelible recordings, combining and transforming them to build entirely new songs. Case in point: 'Immortal Megamix,' which mashes together 'Can You Feel It,' 'Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough,' 'Billie Jean' and 'Black Or White.'

It's four songs in one, which is very much in keeping with Jackson's larger-than-life, bigger-is-better approach to art and life. The King is gone, but thanks to the magic of technology and legions of people he inspired, his music lives on.

Michael Jackson from the Jackson 5 to Thriller were probably when he was at his best. His later years were weird because he had too many looks. He changed himself too much. When he had so many looks, he seemed weird. He wouldn't have been weird if he didn't change too much. His music was great, but he overdid it when it came to what he looked like.

i have been following mr.michale jackson for over 40 years.see i am a dancer myself i dance at the lexington market for over 10 years the call me the lexington lady .and when dancing is from the soul noway in the world would you end your life why/ because when you are at home at night you see all of your fans faces,and it gives you a reason to keep on dancing untill you last breath .that is if you are a perfectionist and a gifted dancer like .the best dancer in this world mr,michale jackson .i love this man my apartment is dedicated in his memory,i will never ever forget what he gave to this world, thank you mr ,michale jackson,

I saw the show in Montreal, and the megamix embodies the amazing energy and spirit of Michael Jackson that Cirque captured with this production. For me, the show was a reminder – as I’m sure this album will be – of the unbelievable body of work he produced and just how talented he was. We miss him.
