Was there a better song this year than Nicki Minaj's 'Super Bass?' If there was, Entertainment Weekly didn't hear it. The Harajuku Barbie's bubbly breakthrough has topped the magazine's Best Singles of 2011 list.

Described as the "boom badoom boom heard round the world," 'Super Bass' came in two spots ahead of 'No Church in the Wild,' from Jay-Z and Kanye West's 'Watch the Throne' album. Beyonce's 'Countdown,' meanwhile, came in at No. 5. The remaining spots went to such rock and pop acts as Foster the People, Britney Spears and the Foo Fighters.

Taking home Worst Single of 2011 honors is Kim Kardashian, whose 'Jam (Turn It Up)' evidently made critics want to jam cotton in their ears and turn it down.
