The producer-rapper -- under the moniker DJ Yeezy World Peace -- played a mixture of classics from the likes of Diana Ross and Michael Jackson alongside some of the biggest hits of the past year. Black Eyed Peas songstress Fergie hosted the bash, which was attended by her husband, actor Josh Duhamel, and West's G.O.O.D. Music protégés Big Sean and Kid Cudi.
The 34-year-old first tested out his skills spinning overseas at London's Baron nightclub last week, and announced his new career move via Twitter.
"My New Years DJ name is gone be YEEZY WORLD PEACE!" If you book me you have to put YEEZY WORLD PEACE on the E-vite. Or I ain't spinning," he tweeted, borrowing the name change from Los Angeles Lakers player Ron Artest, who now goes by Meta World Peace.
