T-Boz, Bankruptcy: Judge Dismisses Case, Denies Protection

Here's the thing about filing for bankruptcy: You've got to make some attempt to pay off your debts and get your affairs in order. Former TLC singer T-Boz just learned that the hard way, TMZ reports, as a judge has dismissed her bankruptcy case, effectively denying her any protection against creditors.

T-Boz, whose real name is Tionne Watkins, sought federal protection back in October, after she had wracked up more than $700,000 in debt. Since then, she's reportedly failed to hold meetings with creditors or make attempts to pay what's owed.

She's allowed to re-file in 180 days, but that means the various parties she's indebted to are free to pursue her and her assets until July.
