Whitney Houston Grammys Tribute: Jennifer Hudson Sings 'I Will Always Love You'

At Sunday's (Feb. 12) 2012 Grammy Awards, there was one artist on everybody's mind -- the late Whitney Houston. As stars spoke of Whitney's legacy on the red carpet, Jennifer Hudson honored the singer with a stunning performance on the Grammys stage.

The tribute was moving, tasteful and a testament to how Houston inspired nothing but the best in an entire generation of performers. Hudson nailed a cover of Whitney's signature song, 'I Will Always Love You,' and was absolutely stunning in a black gown and voluminous curls reminiscent of Houston's '80s style.

The 'American Idol' took on the tribute solo, after Chaka Khan withdrew from the last-minute performance, stating she was too grief-stricken to step in front of the star-studded crowd. Hudson was overcome with emotion herself, as she fought back tears towards the end of her performance.

Jennifer H. did an amazing job honoring Whitney H. who is one of her idols. It was clear that JHud was doing her best to get through the song without crying, and I think she totally rocked that song!!!! Great job Jennifer! I love you Whitney Houston!!!

Whitney Houston, we will never find another female vocalist as talented and spiritual as Whitney. Creative, there are not words we can find for this artist. Whitney was a Goddess to the music world and she will be missed and well remember all over the world. Whitney will always be in our lives all over the world. We will hold her in our hearts
and enjoy all the precious moments she allowed us to have listening to her music. God Bless her, her family and friends. R.I.P. Whitney

HI BEAUTIFUL

Jennifer is NOT Whitney, she is her own person and also has a beautiful voice and tell me why is this even an issue? What she did on the Grammy was a tribute to Whitney as she did when Michael Jackson died. Was she compared to Michael Jackson, I don't think so. This woman has already paid tribute to two great voices. I hope she does not have to do so again. She is great and has done these tributes on very short notice. Give this woman credit for doing them and try to imagine how difficult and emotional something like this is and in front of a huge audience. She deserves better than this from people that are making unkind comments about her. She has endured much in her short life and is focused to be a healthy mom and a singing tallent and lost all that extra weight to keep herself healthy for her baby, herself and family. God bless her.

SUET
Jennifer may NOT be a Whitney but she is poised, talented and a stable well adjusted person who suffered her own terrible loss when her mother and brother were killed.. .She a beautiful person with a great voice, I think Jennifer would be the first to admit she is not a 'Whitney' in more ways than one!
