Jeremih Hit With Drinks While Performing, Fans Angry Over Lip-Syncing

R&B crooner Jeremih performed at a nightclub in South Padre Island, Texas Wednesday (March 14) for some spring break festivities, however, he wasn't received with a warm welcome by party-goers. Rather than sing through his 50 Cent-assisted hit 'Down on Me,' the 23-year-old entertainer chose to lip-sync, which angered fans.

TMZ reports that Jeremih took the stage at Clayton's Bar and Grill on South Padre Island and was pelted with drinks when fans realized he decided to let the track sing for him. The crowd was already agitated after waiting two hours for the tardy singer to make his appearance.

In the video below, the Chicago native takes the stage, moving through his set for barely a few minutes when loud booing is heard, offensive hand gestures are thrown up and liquid is splashed all over Jeremih after an audience member hits him with a drink.

'Down on Me' appears on Jeremih's sophomore album, 'All About You,' released in 2010.

He's not very professional. Two hours late AND lip syncing? Wow, what a loser.

This guy got off lucky...just being pelted with booz. Look what happened to Mili Vanilli when they tried the same thing!

So who doesn't lip-synch these days? It's just that some are better at it than others.

Do they think that Beyonce is doing all of that dancing without a little help? If we are going to act like it is an issue with one than it should be an issue with all.

Those people are just completely ignorant and should be charged with assault. They should have left and asked for their money back if they were unhappy. Singers ofen lip synch during a show so its obvious these folks had never been to a "live" performance. And since it sounds like he was doing a song that was a duet with a rapper who was not there then what did they think was going to happen on Kanye's part? Bunch of idiots.
