In what TMZ has described as the "Seacrest Defense," Pitbull has filed legal documents in New York, responding to Lohan's suit by contending that television personality Seacrest, also mentioned in the song, has taken no umbrage, and therefor, neither should Lohan.
Lohan has refused to drop the suit against Pitbull, Ne-Yo and Afrojack, claiming the "disparaging" and "defamatory" lyric "I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan" has caused the troubled actress "irreparable harm."
In addition to his "Seacrest Defense," Pitbull is also apparently invoking the First Amendment in his attempt to get the suit dismissed. He also filed a countersuit against Lohan, back in November.
On his official website, Pitbull responded to the suit, claiming that Lohan had simply misunderstood.
"At first I read it and I thought, 'It's gotta be a joke,'" he wrote, arguing that the line was actually a "positive message," in slang terms. "When I say, 'I got it locked up,' if you play at the park, if you from the neighborhood, when they say you got it locked up, that means you run that area."
A ruling has yet to be made.
