Nicki Minaj, Lil' Kim Feud: Eve Takes Sides in Rappers' Beef

As Nicki Minaj's sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard charts, fellow female MC Eve is speaking out to remind Minaj to thank her hip-hop predecessors for paving the way -- specifically her rival Lil' Kim.

"It's not about publicity. It's about wanting that respect," Eve told BET, commenting on Lil' Kim's stance in the epic cat fight. "I think maybe that's where Kim is coming from, like, you're doing your thing right now and no one can take that away from you, Nicki -- we all see it. But at the end of the day, if it wasn't for Kim, she wouldn't be here and that s--- is real," Eve insisted.

Minaj and Kim's beef started back in 2010 when the female rap pioneer accused the newcomer of ripping off her style and put her on blast over a diss track, "Black Friday." The song, whose title is a play on Nicki's Pink Friday album title, accuses Nicki of sleeping with mentor Lil Wayne in order to land a deal with his Cash Money label.

Kim labeled her rival a "knockoff" and a "carbon copy" of herself, which of course Minaj did not take lying down. She fired back with diss tracks of her own including, "Tragedy" and "Stupid H--." As Eve addressed, Minaj maintains that Kim has been drumming up drama for the sake of publicity. The rappers have yet to make peace.

If it wasn’t for guys like Kurtis Blow, and the Furious Five none of us would be here if that’s the case. But outside of Nicki saying she was a huge fan of Kim she don’t owe her nothing especially after Kim started the public attack. Nicki said Kim was dope but does Kim expect her to kiss her ring? Ask the young LL how he felt when Mo Dee dissed him. Once you punch me in the face… RESPECT is gone! Eve has been my favorite female rapper for years. Nicki has just been doing her thing and in the public eye surpassed all female rappers as of right now.

Plastic surgeons need to start being held responsible for destroying someones face when they continue doing surgery after surgery on someone who has OBVIOUSLY had too damn many. Much respect to Lil Kim and her talent but DAMN!!! WTH have you done? You were attractive at one point now you look like a deformed drag queen (truth be told most drag queens do look better than most women...lol). Seriously though Lil Kim please STOP!!!

So the dumbass that created this article is just going to skip over the fact that Nicki Minaj put out Romans Revenge BEFORE the fact Lil Kim responded. THis one sided bullshit has to stop. If you're gonna report industry news at least know your facts. I'm not even mentioning the fact that Nicki Minaj was beefing with Kim in her own mind before she got signed. Hence 40 barz , No entry and some other of her mixtape tracks. Know your facts before blogging.
