Brown's wife, Alicia Etheredge, has confirmed that he will be undergoing a two-month rehabilitation program. She appears optimistic about his early progress, telling RadarOnline.com that he is "doing great."
According to various sources, Brown, who has fought an almost life-long battle with addiction, is seeking treatment for alcohol abuse. His wife declined to comment regarding the reason for his rehabilitation.
A source close to Brown tells TMZ that he admitted himself because he "realized he couldn't do it on his own," adding that he "decided that he needed help and wants to make the best out of the rest of his life for his children's sake."
