Ne-Yo, Baby Mama Problems: Singer Threatened With Legal Action Over Comments He Made in Interview

According to TMZ, Jesseca White is upset after Ne-Yo talked about the struggles of their past relationship during a VHI "Behind the Music" interview and has hired a lawyer, accusing him of breaking their confidentiality agreement.

The site reports that during their relationship, White had a baby that she thought was Ne-Yo's, but the baby was actually not his. The couple reached a settlement agreement in 2009, and Ne-Yo paid $575,000 to White, who in turn, officially said the kid wasn't his. TMZ says that Ne-Yo was originally listed on the birth certificate as the father, but his name was removed. Both sides agreed to a confidentiality clause, promising to never go public with the information.

But, in the "Behind the Music" interview that aired in September, Ne-Yo opened up about the situation, and White was not pleased with his comments.

Ne-Yo recalled the day he found out the baby was not his, telling the camera, "Jesseca called me, bawling crying. I'm like, 'What's wrong with you?' And all she could say is, 'He's not yours, he's not yours.' She just kept saying it over and over and over again, to the point where I dropped the phone. Chimere's not mine. That hurt 'cause I had attached myself to this guy, you know. This is my son. I'm looking at him and I'm picturing I'm gonna be old, and he's gonna be - this is my son! It's not my son."

During the interview, Ne-Yo insisted that news didn't change his feeling on the baby. "I didn't care who the father was," he told VHI. "In my mind, I was still Chimere's father. I was there when he was born. I saw him when he first came out. I held him. He was my kid. In the state of California, if you put yourself out there as the father, the mother can then come after you in court like you're the biological father so we settled out of court for what I thought was an ungodly amount of money. Shortly after that Jesseca and Chimere vanished."

When he was asked during the interview if he still is in touch with them, Ne-Yo said, "No. Nope. Life goes on and so do we."

Now, White has hired attorney Gloria Allred and has written a letter to Ne-Yo, accusing him of breaking their agreement and saying she's been "defamed, ridiculed and harassed" after his comments were made public. White says she's been unable to work, was forced to file for state aid, suffers from mental anguish and is "beset by nausea, vomiting and hair loss." She wants the matter to be solved out of court, or she threatened more serious legal options.

Ne-Yo's rep didn't respond for comment to TMZ.

This chick is out for a meal ticket period point blank....Next time lil girl....know who the father is of your baby. NeYo has more heart than you will ever have and to say you were defamed...who are you anyway....instead of living off of NeYo...press forward and not make a name for yourself but work hard, gain a paycheck, teach your son that lies can get you in alot of trouble & learn from your mistakes. jeez!

SUE HIM! This HCTIB is tripping! 1st of all, why the hell would he agree to a confidentiality clause when SHE was in the wrong!!! He should be able to say what the hell he want to say, now that she was proven to be a liar AND a cheater. As far as Caklifornia goes, YOUR STATE SUCKS! Im sure if he would have know the baby wasnt his, he wouldnt have "manned up" and took what he thought was his responsibility! NOW this HCTIB saying she loosing her hair and need public assistance..Ho please! She need her ass kicked if she doesnt have anymore money! Put that crack pipe down!

She must be effin crazy!? AND HIM? Why would he agree to that clause when she clearly was out here screwing with no protection, as his girl. Secondly, he gave her all that money AND the kid wasnt his, whetehr its California or wherever, I paid yo lying cheating ass. I can say what I want! NOW, u need public assistance.WTH?

I totally understand his attachment to the baby after he found out that the boy wasn't his, but there's no way in hell she should have paid $575.000.00 to her in the first place. She got away with taking his money before, so she figure she's going to do it again. That is one low-down dirty grimmy biaotch. I don't understand why Gloria Allred would take this case. Seriously that bioatch is so wrong.

Let me be clear she got paid 1st time around and now coming back for another bank deposit smh they should make her thirsty azz take a pregnacy test lol. She took the child from the assuming only father he knew. Defaned???? why is she back in the media vampire get out of the light.

Women who pull this kind of crap are shameful, but they do it because they know they can. We live in a country where this behavior, manner, lack of morals and crassness is not only celebrated but is financially encouraged.

Low-living women know there's no consequences for their lack of character, and that there is, in fact, big money in it. All I can tell my brothers is to recognize this, and don't get sucked into it.

The good news is that women like these are so easy to spot from a distance. The only issue is then, whether or not the men will heed their God-given common sense and avoid them. From all appearances the answer so far, is no.
