Tim Dog Dead: 'F--- Compton' Rapper Dies of Seizure at 46

Bronx rapper Tim Dog died of a seizure earlier today, after a lengthy battle with diabetes. He was 46.

The Kool Keith affiliated MC, born Timothy Blair, rose to fame after his West Coast diss record "Fuck Compton," which appeared on his celebrated, contentious 1991 debut LP, Penicillin on Wax.

Dog went on to appear on several songs with Kool Keith's Ultramagnetic MCs, before forming a duo, Ultra, with Keith.

Dog's legacy was a bit tarnished in 2011, when he pleaded guilty to grand larceny, after defrauding a Mississippi woman out of $32,000. Under the plea agreement, Blair received five years probation, and was required to repay the woman $19,000. News of the scandal was covered in a 2012 episode of "Dateline NBC."

Tim Dog's most recent new release was his 2009 collaboration LP, Tim Dog & Kool Keith present Project X: Iconic.

May HE REST IN PEACE!.

This is some information for EVERYONE out there who is either PRE-DIABETIC or a full blown DIABETIC. Nearly almost all insurance companies pay for GASTRIC-BY-PASS" WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY. It is a permanent form of weight loss. If anyone out there who has any health insurance contact them and ask them to pay for your permanent weight loss surgery.... A weight-loss SURGEON can make your stomach about the size of a small orange. You WILL lose the weight permanently from having that surgery done. I had it done JUNE 24, 2011 and went from 214 lbs down to 151 lbs in about 10-11 months and I am 5' 5" You will end up being taken off a LOT of prescription medications and also loss REAL weight. So, contact any Weight LOSS "SURGEON, and ask him or her if they accept your own health insurance." Even MediCARE Part "A" & "B" insurance is also a part of UNITED HEALTH CARE Insurance will pay for weight loss surgery including tons of other health insurance companies....your health will improve and you will lose weight just add in moderate exercise and follow the type of diet that the surgeon tells you to after he does the surgery for you. And by all means DO NOT drink any kind of carbonated sodas that garbage soda is bad for you even if you do lose the weight which you will, but do NOT drink any kind of "carbonated soda" it will tear your stomach up.. and ALL CARBONATED SODA'S can .give EVERYONE AND ANYONE diarrhea.....also carbonated soda's also known as a "cans of pop" stay away from that high carb B.S. and stay away from high carbs FOODS in general because EVERYONE who drinks a LOT of soda's including the so-called diet sodas are B.S. for your stomach as well as destroys your bones and teeth. And if I made any "typo's" feel free to flame me! LOL!!! Even kids has diabetes because of the B.S diet that most of these mothers feed their kids...come on every one....let's shut down Fatty "McDonalds" and stupid fatty food places like "Chucky Cheese" restaurants" When was the last time any of you women and men on here cooked a LOW carb HOME COOKED MEAL? Do I see a raise of hands??? Enough Said! Get Away From Here You FAST FOOD JUNKIES. Remember WE as a world of human beings are NOT born with high cholesterol we as human beings get it from THE FOODS WE EAT. And if you will check HISTORY even people in the late 1800's and the 1900's had diabetes BUT they did NOT have the medications for it then....during that era people would kwho skip eating and some would go for 2-3 days without eating just to keep their glucose levels low. STUDY HISTORY or DO A SEARCH on how people controlled diabetes over 200 years ago. Or better yet do a web search on the history of diabetes. Diabetes is NOT a new diease it has been around for over 200 years ago.

Your answer for combating diabetes is gastric by-pass surgery? lol Idiot, there are much better ways of managing the disease without resorting to major surgery. No one is particularly interested in Tim Dog's demise or this message board anymore, so it's time for you to take your dumb advice and get lost at this point. Don't bother crafting some mindless response as I won't be returning to read it.

First and foremost. My condolences to his friends and family. It's not easy losing someone you love so young. Secondly. To the comments of stereotyping this guy because he's a rapper. I'd say most of it is true as the mentality of folks who indulge in this ''art form'' have the same ideals and if they deviate from those ideals they lose their ''street cred'' and are disgraced in the rap community. My son is a rapper and he wasn't raised with these ideals but it's how he chooses to live his life being more concerned about his ''street cred'' than himself as a whole. That being said, none of us knew him and it is in bad form to make comments as such if we don't know what we're talking about. Especially at his early demise. Now being a rapper doesn't make you a musician. If you can play a musical instrument with fluency and or make money doing it,you can be considered a musician. Again we don't know what musical background he had, so we can't make that judgement. Most rap ''songs'' are created using software programs that do not require any knowledge of music. Very rarely or not at all are live instruments used in the recording process. I do not consider this type of art form music. It is what it is, a form of art which sells an astronomical amount of records/cd's. Even the great Ray Charles stated that rap is not music. He compared it to rhymes that you learn in nursery school. I've been playing music and making money at it for over 35 years. It took many, many hours of lessons, practicing, and rehearsing for me to consider myself a musician. This is generally not the case for your everyday rapper.

Dog's legacy was tarnished by a little larceny? A criminal rapper? I never heard of such a thing.

People who are obese i deeply feel sorry for. I once weighed 230 lbs, i knew when i weighed this much by the way my body was acting ( eating too much, less excercise and and less sleep) that i was planting myself for medical problems. I motivated myself to start walking on long brisk walks 3 times a week an average of 10 miles per walk. My body weight now is 159lbs Today i have more suttle sleeping patterns with motivation to move my body to feel healthy.

WOW...I am not familiar with this musician/man, but the comments are a very sad statement of our society. We all need to think of his family and friends who are grieving and keep them in our thoughts and prayers. Give them a virtual hug instead of vile comments. I send prayers to those who knew him, loved him, and cared about him. May his soul rest in peace.
