Today (Feb. 25), the 46-year-old singer told Entertainment Tonight in a statement that she had indeed tied the knot with 37-year-old Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana.
"Last year we were married in a quiet, private and beautiful ceremony" she said. "Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favorite children's charities. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy."
Jackson split with her boyfriend Jermaine Dupri in 2009. She married singer James DeBarge in 1984 but the union was annulled a year later. Later, she married Rene Elizondo in 1991. The pair filed for divorce in 2000, and after two years a settlement was reached which reportedly gave Elizondo $15 million and an $8 million beachfront home in Malibu.
Hopefully this marriage will work out better.
