Kendrick Lamar, David Letterman: Watch 'Poetic Justice' Performance

Kendrick Lamar brought good kid, m.A.A.d. city to the national stage last night, performing the album's third official single, "Poetic Justice," on Late Show with David Letterman.

Backed by a full band, the Compton-bred MC's subdued ghetto love tune was brought to life in a way that just isn't there on the LP version, despite how good it actually is.

Much of that could be owed to producer Terrace Martin, who seems to be manning the saxophone for the band these days, adding jazzy arpeggios to upper register of the melodically-deficient tune.

"Love goes out to my bro @kendricklamar I'm always happy to play live with him," Martin wrote on his Twitter feed following the performance. "He brings out the best in everyone!"

Martin also backed Lamar during his performance on Saturday Night Live last month (ed note: also, check out some behind-the-scenes footage of the pair rehearsing for SNL, as well as scenes with Robert Glasper and more HERE)

Can we get a live LP Kendrick? And can Terrace to play on every song? Pretty please?
