During an interview on Hot 97's the Cipha Sounds and Rosenberg morning show, he offered his reasons why.
"We don't actually give a fuck about that shit," he said. "Mothafuckers who care are the reason racism is still alive."
Told that he should respect the rights that the people who came before him fought for, and that he might not be able to do what he does now as a result of their struggle, the 21-year-old rapper was agreeable.
"That's sick; that's cool," he said. "I guess people my age, we're not even thinking like that. When you think like that, you keep the racism alive when that's not even on our palette."
Asked what he stands for, he replied curtly: "Being rich and trying to have as much fun as I can."
What do you think of Tyler's comments? Does he have a point? Are older people the only ones who care about the n-word? Do you care if white people say it?
