He was honest. He was influential in a way that no one has done before. His storytelling and easygoing delivery was easy for anybody to pick up and kinda be attached to. He was also the underdog because of his image. We all felt that he would live forever like Michael Jackson. That's why his death has transcended into life after his demise.

He was so witty. He could say something and catch you off guard with how clever it was. Around that time Ny was distancing itself from the more dance kinda records. As well as the quick tongue paced records. He was very slow flowing and it matched his stature. As far as lyrics went, he didn't stay on the measure like a Nas or Rakim or Wu-Tang. He always just flowed like he was going over the bar but it still sounded great. He is probably the first guy besides Method Man to do that. Amazing.
