9. M.I.A. Flips the Bird

You'd think that the oft-controversial Maya would have gotten a clue from Janet Jackson's Nipplegate incident at Super Bowl XXXVIII. But oh no, she didn't, as was made obvious when M.I.A. flipped some 113 million viewers the bird -- kids included -- during the 2012 Super Bowl halftime show. The little maneuver upstaged headliner Madonna, who later called M.I.A.'s middle finger to the world a "teenager ... irrelevant thing to do." But then again, who did Madge think she was enlisting for this assist? This was the same M.I.A. who vengefully took to Twitter and tweeted the phone number of a journalist, who disgraced her in a New York Times Magazine article, and the same M.I.A. who suggested President Obama return his Nobel Peace Prize.

Verdict: Her quick use of the finger at Super Bowl and on Twitter make her a great opponent for Words With Friends.
