Through the internet, Tyler and his team built Tumblr pages, gave away mixtapes and singles, launching a complete web takeover. Mastering the internet as a primary promotional vehicle is tough, considering it’s a world wide web where everyone is trying to jump in. However, Tyler and crew managed to rise to the top and become one of hip-hop's recent success stories, reigniting the D.I.Y. model in rap. Talk about a well-oiled machine.
