50 Cent Sues Taco Bell

50 Cent has slapped fast-food chain Taco Bell with a lawsuit for using his name without his expressed permission. The lawsuit claims Taco Bell Corp used his moniker in their 'Why Pay more?' print ad campaign, which suggests that 50 Cent change his name to 79, 89, or 99 Cent, in support of the chain's discounted menu items.

"Without seeking or obtaining Jackson's authorization, defendant Taco Bell made him the star and focus of its nationwide advertising campaign by using his name, persona and trademark to promote Taco Bell's business and products," stated the federal lawsuit.

50 Cent claims the fast-food chain sent a phony letter to the media, but failed to seek his permission or inform him of the request. The rapper's lawyer Peter D. Raymond said his client wasn't aware of the letter until it made the news.

"We know that you adopted the name 50 Cent years ago as a metaphor for change," the letter read. "We at Taco Bell are also huge advocates for change. We encourage you to 'Think Outside the Bun' and hope you accept our offer."

Obviously 50 isn't accepting their offer. Instead, the rapper's is seeking $4 million in damages.

GZA Thinks 50 Cent is Disposable like a 'Paper Plate'?

Looks like 50 Cent has one more enemy to add to his laundry list of foes. Wu-Tang Clan's GZA goes at the G-Unit head in the recently leaked track, 'Paper Plates,' which is possibly the first track off the Genius' upcoming album, 'Pro Tools.' According to recent rumors, the title of the track suggests GZA thinks 50 is "disposable" like a paper plate. There's no denying GZA's angst as he threatens, "Cut by 'Liquid Swords'/ Crushed by 'Ironman' till we choke your vocal chords" and asks, "You ever seen someone who roll with Mayweather/ Rhyme like Ricky Hatton?" 'Pro Tools' is due in stores August 19.

50 Cent Granted Time With Son

50 Cent went toe-to-toe with ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins in a Long Island courtroom Thursday in an effort to spend time with his 11-year-old son. The rap star and Tompkins have been in a heated custody battle that began in April when the rapper requested that Tompkins and their son be removed from his Long Island, New York, home. 50 claimed Tompkins was given enough time and financial support to find another residence. The custody battle took a strange turn when the Long Island home was destroyed in what is being called a "suspicious" fire in May.

In recent weeks, the 33-year-old rapper has been vocal about his desire to see his son. "This is the toughest [thing I've had to face], because he's my motivation," 50 said in an interview. Family court judge David Freundlich granted 50 an unrestricted weeklong visit with his son Marquise in August, and added that the rapper's request was "more than reasonable."

50 Cent's Ex Files $50M Lawsuit

Let's get ready to rumble! 50 Cent's ex-girlfriend/mother of his son 11-year-old son, Shaniqua Tompkins, has slapped the rap star with a $50 million lawsuit, according to media reports. Tompkins is seeking damages related to a fire that destroyed the rapper's Long Island, New York mansion where she and 50's son resided. The destroyed home was at the center of recent baby-mama involving the rap star and Tompkins.

After an ongoing child support battle with Tompkins, 50 appeared before a judge in May and requested that Tompkins and their son be removed from the rapper's Long Island, New York, home. The rapper claimed Tompkins was given ample opportunity to find another residence, but made no attempt to relocate from his Dix Hills mansion.

Now, 50's ex claims the rapper set fire to the home in an attempt to force her out of the mansion. Tompkins' attorney Paul Catsandonis is trying to make the case that the pair's relationship can be viewed as a common-law marriage.

"There wasn't a written contract but an expressed oral agreement, which is recognized in the New York courts," Catsandonis said in a recent interview. "They decided years ago that she was going to be the domestic partner, and she was going to provide the domestic services while he devoted all his time to becoming a Hip-Hop artist. Whatever profits he was able to achieve would be divided equally, and he had promised her and their son that they could live in the house. He breached that contract."

I guess we'll have to wait and see if Tompkins will get rich or die tryin.'

50 Cent Lands on Death Row in 'Spectacular Regret'

Retired Rapper 50 Cent's versatile acting career continues, as Curtis prepares to appear in two upcoming murder-related feature films.

The first, Robert Deniro and Al Pacino's new vehicle 'Righteous Kill,' is directed by Jon Avnet (vaguely known for directing 'Fried Green Tomatoes' and producing gangster classics 'Poodle Springs' and 'The Mighty Ducks' trilogy). Though the title sounds like a Jean-Claude Van Damme masterpiece (i.e. 'Hard Target'), Fif's role appears to be about as long as Van Damme's part in 'Breakin',' if the trailer is any indication.

'Righteous Kill' hits theaters in September 2008, so practice your "G-G-G-G-Unit" ad libs for the quiet moments, if the group has any other remaining members by then.

Next, 50 is set to star as a death row inmate in 'Spectacular Regret,' which also features Danny Huston, John Ortiz and Kelli Garner and is helmed by Joshua Leonard, who starred in the 'Blair Witch Project,' in his feature directorial debut.

Other titles for the film may have included 'Astounding Disappointment,' 'Tremendous Mishap,' and 'Astonishing Failure,' but 'Spectacular Regret' apparently summed it up best.

50 Cent, Tony Yayo Hit With Lawsuit for Assault on Teen

50 Cent and G-Unit member Tony Yayo have been slapped with a civil lawsuit for the alleged 2006 assault on the 14-year-old son of the Game's manager and Czar entertainment head, Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond.

According to the New York Daily News, Cynthia Reed, the mother of the teen, is seeking unspecified damages for the assault, which is said to have been prompted by a sweatshirt. "It's hard to believe that a 14-year-old boy walking on E. 25th St. at 6 in the evening was attacked by four adult males just because of the shirt he was wearing," Richard Reich, the attorney representing the teen told the paper.

Yayo, whose real name is Marvin Bernard, plead guilty to harassment charges in February and was ordered to perform 10 days of community service for his role in the assault. Bernard's co-defendant Lawal Fletcher was sentenced to nine months in prison after admitting to slapping the teen.

50 Cent was not present for the assault, but Reed claims the rap star was responsible for the actions of his cronies. The rapper's lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, dismissed the suit, saying Reed is looking for "a quick payday."

50 Cent: Young Buck Is Out of G-Unit

"You can take this as official notice," 50 Cent told New York radio station Hot 97's morning-show hosts, Miss Jones and DJ Envy before announcing that Young Buck is no longer a member of G-Unit crew, but still on the record label as a solo artist.

"I think you have to give them something to blow it out of proportion," 50 said when asked how he felt about Buck's recent comments regarding his status with the crew. "Buck did that. I think that what he was saying, in order to validate himself as a man, he feels he has to go against what I'm doing, similar to some of the things we've seen from Game."

Buck, who'd been M.I.A. on G-Unit mixtapes, spoke out about his diminishing role in the group in a recent interview with XXL magazine. "It's an understanding that we have as a crew," the Nashville rapper told the magazine. "Not just with 50, but as a family. Everybody has had they situations, but everybody handles that s--- a little different. 'Cause we all individual men. For me, it's just about gettin' s--- off my chest and airing the s--- out. But as far as being disloyal to my n-----, it's far from that."

50 Cent Wants Ex-Girlfriend, 10-Year-Old Son Out of His House

I don't often use the phrase: Oh, no he didn't! But sometimes a situation warrants such a response. After an ongoing child support battle with the mother of his son, 50 Cent is scheduled to appear before a judge and request that ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins and their 10-year-old Marquise Jackson be removed from the rapper's Long Island, New York, home.

In February, a judge reduced 50's monthly child support payment from $25,000 to $6,700. Tompkins, her daughter from another relationship and Marquise were allowed to remain in the 50's home (for which the rapper fits the bill) while using some of the monthly support to find another residence. The rapper claims Tompkins has yet to make any attempt to move out of his home.

Tompkins' attorneys claim their client cannot (and should not) be evicted because she's not an actual tenant because she never signed a lease agreement or paid rent. The rapper has yet to release a statement regarding the matter.
