Rihanna Shares Her Umbrella With Chris Brown at the Glow in the Dark Tour's NY Stop

It's not everyday that an artist has an opportunity to takeover New York's Madison Square Garden. On Tuesday, Lupe Fiasco, N.E.R.D, Rihanna and the "No. 1 human in music" -- aka Kanye West -- rocked MSG during the New York stop of the Glow in the Dark tour.

In an effort to make sure Mr. West doesn't spazz on us, we at the BoomBox decided to steer clear of saying anything that would anger the "Great One," even though we're a little disappointed that the rap star never actually glowed in the dark during the 60 minute set ... but I digress. Instead, we decided to mention Rihanna's hot performance and new partner in crime Chris Brown.

The thing is, I have a close friend, but it's not like a relationship. I'm not trying to settle down. I'm only 18, so I'm just trying to live my life and have fun."

New York's Finest Come Out to Support Chris Brown

If you were wondering how to get every teenage girl from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut in one room, wonder no more. R&B/pop phenom Chris Brown and co-headliner Bow Wow corraled an estimated 18,000 prepubescent girls into Madison Square Garden on Thursday night.

Lil Mama and Soulja Boy Tell Em warmed up the crowd while tweens danced in the aisles. Bow Wow made his way on stage via a prop resembling a G5 airplane. The rapper rocked the crowd before bringing out his 'Face Off' partner, Omarion. The two bounced around stage performing the first single, 'Girlfriend,' off the collaborative effort. Omarion danced in and out of two sequined Michael Jackson-esque jackets before exiting the stage.

All warmed up, an eager crowd counted down while watching an animated film of Brown fighting monsters on his way to the Garden. Like all great performers, the Prince of R&B/pop made a monstrous entrance. He dropped in from the rafters and launched into his smash hit, 'Wall to Wall.'

After hours of ear-popping explosions and yelping, the content crowd were treated to New York's finest. Diddy and 50 Cent showed some major love for the singer. Diddy strolled on stage and jumped into renditions of 'It's All About the Benjamins' and 'Last Night.' 50 and crew -- donning dollar bill green shirts -- surprised the crowd and performed his hit, 'I Get Money.' Dipset's young emcee Juelz Santana was also in the house and joined Brown on 'Run It!'

Chris Brown Opens Up About Growing Up With Abuse

Pop sensation Chris Brown recently admitted to witnessing and experiencing abuse for six years of his childhood, according to I'mNotObsessed.com.

"I don't want to mention the person's name -- it wasn't my real father -- but somebody hurt my mom and me, I had to deal with that from seven all the way to 13," Brown confessed. "It affected me, especially [my behavior] towards women -- I treat them differently. I don't want to put a woman through the same thing that person put my mom through."

It's not clear what sparked the singer/dancer's announcement, but Brown is not shying away from expressing the effect the abuse had on him.

"I was scared and timid when I was little. I used to pee in my bed... I think it was me being nervous, and scared to get up [out of bed] and see what was going on," Brown said. "My mom used to try and hide it from me and my sister, but we knew. Anybody that's going through it, just try to deal with it, talk it out."

Chris Brown Grows Up With Will.I.Am, Timbaland on New Album

R&B sensation Chris Brown dazzled the crowd with his table-hopping VMA performance earlier this month, and while Brown will be taking his moves on the road, first fans will hear new music when his latest album, 'Exclusive,' drops on November 6.

"The new album is crazy," Brown tells PopEater. "I think definitely with the choice of songs and the growth that I've had, it's been great for me personally just changing it up -- musically, concept-wise and just me being 18 in the mix-up."

To help show that growth, Brown enlisted an all-star list of collaborators, including Will.I.Am, T-Pain, Pharrell and Timbaland, among others. "You get different vibes," he says of working with that slew of talent. "You see different personalities -- different creative minds -- and you get to combine your creative mind with theirs and then come up with a great project."
