It took almost 30 days, but hip-hop mogul Jay-Z has finally responded to a comment made by Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher. The English rocker criticized Jay's headlining gig at the UK's Glastonbury festival saying, "I'm not having hip-hop at Glastonbury. It's wrong." Jigga released a statement in which he urges the rocker to "respect" hip hop. "We don't play guitars, Noel, but hip-hop has put in its work like any other form of music. This headline show is just a natural progression. Rap music is still evolving. We just have to respect each other's genre of music and move forward." the rap star said.

Jay went on to express his excitement about playing the festival because of the stir caused by Gallagher's comments. "I've never ever had a show that's caused this much of a stir so I'm really looking forward to it. I've never been involved in anything this controversial," the rapper admitted. "What's the big deal about doing a show? I guess it's heritage and people hold that dear to their heart and see it one way but that's how the world is. The world has to change. It just can't be one thing -- and that's the beautiful thing. That's why people feel so passionate about an event."

Hip hop mogul Jay-Z has reportedly established an educational trust fund for the children of Sean Bell, who was gunned down by three New York police detectives just hours before his wedding. According to reports, the rap star and Bell's fiance Nicole Bell have been working together to iron out the details of the charitable fund.

Last week, a New York judge acquitted the detectives who fired the 50 shots that took Bell's life. Rappers the Game, Papoose and Joell Ortiz recorded songs to express their discontent with the shocking verdict. Jay-Z has not released a statement regarding the verdict or trust fund.

Looks like Jay-Z is officially taking a side in the LeBron James vs. DeShawn Stevenson feud. The rap star has actually recorded a diss track, dubbed 'Blow the Whistle,' directed at Stevenson in response to a comment that James is "overrated." In case you missed it, the feud between the Cleveland Cavaliers starting forward was sparked when Wizards forward Stevenson called James "overrated." James was quoted as saying that commenting on Stevenson's remark would be like "Jay-Z responding to Soulja Boy."

Unfortunately for Stevenson, Jay-Z decided he wasn't too big to respond to the Washington forward. Hova defends his buddy James with the line, "Who the f---'s overrated? If anything they underpaid him." Stevenson doesn't seem to be phased by the track, although he's a little peeved that it was debuted at D.C. hot spot Love. "Everybody on our team, we're boycotting Love," Stevenson said in an interview. "We're not going no more. But I appreciate Jay-Z for giving me the shout out."

Beyonce and Jay-Z have yet to confirm their union, but reports claim the pair filed the marriage license obtained on April 1. According to Scarsdale Town Clerk Donna Conkling, the signed license was received on Friday and confirms that the couple tied the knot on April 4.

The law requires that a couple file their marriage license no more than five days after the actual wedding date, but Conkling said the license is expected to be processed with the state without any penalty.

The couple have remained silent about their nuptials while those around them spilled the beans. Mary J. Blige congratulated the newlyweds during her set at the Greensboro, North Carolina, stop of the Heart of the City tour. Presidential candidate Barack Obama is taking a cue from hip hop mogul Jay-Z. No, the presidential hopeful isn't starting a record label or marrying Beyonce. Instead, Obama is brushing the dirt off his shoulder -- ala the movement made popular by the rap star's 2003 song 'Dirt Off Your Shoulder' -- which means that the senator is letting all negative comments and criticism roll off his back.

Obama's recent move may have shocked folks in the political arena, but the candidate has been exhibiting his hipness since he shook his groove thang on 'The Ellen Degeneres Show.' And Obama admits to being a Jay-Z fan. "Lately I've been listening to a lot of Jay-Z -- this new American Gangster album ...," Obama said in a recent interview.

After years of criticizing Beyonce for her fondness of fur, PETA has made peace with the R&B diva. The animal rights group has had an ongoing tift with the singer and even confronted Beyonce at an eBay auction in 2006. But, after some review, the organization noticed that Beyonce hadn't donned one dead furry creature all winter, which motivated the group to send the recently married singer a wedding gift.

According to a recent blog entry on PETA's website, Senior VP Lisa Lange sent newlyweds Beyonce and Jay-Z a designer faux fur throw along with a note: "From all of us at PETA, we wish you much happiness in your life together. Please accept this faux-fur throw with many good wishes and a hope from us that together, you'll be a fur-free couple!"

It's a good thing PETA played nice. Red paint splashed across a wedding dress is never a good look.

Well, we knew it was coming. Details of Jay-Z and Beyonce's private union are finally surfacing. According to the Hollywood Rag, the couple treated their wedding guests to a seven course meal, which included beluga caviar, shrimp scampi, and, get this, Popeye's fried chicken!

Before stuffing their guests, the couple made sure to have security frisk every guest. All cell phones and cameras were confiscated, which is most likely the reason we haven't seen a single picture from the private affair.

Reports -- which I'm willing to categorize as TMI (too much information) -- also claim the couple imposed a "No Sex" rule three weeks prior to their nuptials. But, the latest rumor buzz surrounding the couple is whether the R&B diva is pregnant. According to the New York Daily News, Beyonce is pregnant with the hip-hop mogul's child, sparking the hasty walk down the aisle.

While Jay-Z and Beyonce have yet to come out and address the public as husband and wife, Mary J. Blige found it hard to resist temptation and congratulated the newlyweds during her set at the Greensboro, North Carolina, stop of the Heart of the City tour.

"Congratulations to my man, Jay-Z, and my girl B," Blige told the audience before kicking off her set with "You're All I Need," according to MTV.

Jay-Z was not as forthcoming during his performance. The rap star made no mention of Friday's nuptials and was not seen wearing a wedding band. The couple, reportedly, celebrated their union on the roof of the hip hop mogul's New York apartment on Friday after much media buzz, which began on April 1 when the pair picked up a marriage license in Scarsdale, New York.

Blige and Hova's Heart of the City tour continues tomorrow night in Atlanta, with dates running through May 8.

According to PEOPLE, hip-hop's hottest couple tied the knot Friday after much media speculation. There have been several false marriage reports going back at least two years, but this time around Jay-Z and Beyonce exchanged vows in what is said to have been a "private affair" in front of their close friends and family. The nuptials took place early Friday evening, followed by a reception on the rooftop of the hip-hop mogul's New York apartment.

The wedding buzz began on Tuesday when the power couple picked up a marriage license in Scarsdale, New York. Destiny's Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams added to the whispers when they appeared in a YouTube video and claimed to be at an "undisclosed location."

At this point, it should be pretty clear that Jay-Z is one of hip-hop's most talented artists, but his recent business dealings prove that the emcee-turned-entrepreneur understands this music industry better than most. In a time when records sales are on a constant decline while concert ticket prices continually increase, Jay-Z, who's known for selling out the world's largest arenas, is preparing to ink a deal with live events giant, Live Nation, according to the New York Times.

The rapper, who's spent the bulk of his career as an artist -- and eventually president -- at Def Jam Records, is abandoning his contract with the label for a $150 million package with Live Nation that includes financing for his own entertainment venture, in addition to recordings and tours for up to 10 years. The package will also include a five year, $25 million deal for the mogul's own Roc Nation imprint.
