A Florida man was arrested for calling 911 requesting that he be taken to meet rapper Lil Wayne. Micheal Kruse was charged with making a false emergency call, which is a misdemeanor.

According to the St. John's Country Sheriff's office report, the 20-year-old dialed the emergency service and requested a police escort him to meet the rapper. Confused by the call, the operator asked "What is a little Wayne sir?" Kruse explained that Wayne was a rapper, mistakenly calling him Shawn Carter, which is Jay-Z's legal name. The operator continued to questions Kruse, "You want a police escort to take you to Miami?"

This year's BET awards honored stars like Beyonce, Keri Hilson, and Lil Wayne with top awards during the ceremony. Hosted by actor/singer Jamie Foxx, the three-hour plus show was themed around the life and legacy of pop icon Michael Jackson, while mixing in a slew of performances from some of music's biggest stars.

Lil Wayne was in Yuma, Arizona on Tuesday (June 23), attending a pre-trial update for a January 2008 arrest in the surrounding area.

The multi-platinum rapper who has a serious history of legal troubles, was arrested along with two members of his entourage at a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint just east of Yuma. A search of his tour bus turned up cocaine, ecstasy and a handgun.

Weezy was ordered to appear at a preliminary hearing for the investigation into the drug & weapons charges, after pleading not guilty to possession of dangerous drugs, drug paraphernalia and weapons misconduct.

According to the blogosphere rumor mill, actress Lauren London and R&B singer Nivea are pregnant. Good news, right? Well, the plot thickens. It looks like both ladies are pregnant by rap star Lil Wayne. The Grammy Award-winning rapper became a father for the second time eight months ago when a mystery Cincinnati woman gave birth to Wayne's first son. He also has a 10-year-old daughter, Reginae, with ex-wife Antonia "Toya" Carter.

In addition to the pregnancy buzz, Wayne and Nivea are rumored to be getting married in the next few months. Nivea, who had a hit back in 2002 with her song 'Don't Mess With My Man,' is no stranger to celebrity matrimony. Nivea and producer-turned-performer The Dream tied the knot in 2005. The pair, who have three children together, filed for divorce just two years later. The Dream has since moved on and is engaged to singer Christina Milian.

Actor-turned-rapper Drake's popularity may have just launched him into another stratosphere. The highly buzzed about 22-year-old is said to be at the helm of a $2 million label war. According to reports, the currently unsigned Toronto native is at the center of "one of the biggest bidding wars ever."

The front-runner is Universal Motown Records who have a relationship with Lil Wayne's Young Money label, with which Drake is affiliated. Warner Music label head Lyor Cohen's attendance at Drake's recent New York performance also fueled rumors that they are looking to sign him to Atlantic records.

Word on the street is there is another unnamed label itching to get the rapper to sign on the dotted line. "Just know that whatever label we sign to it'll be because they'll add to what we've created on our own," Drake said.
